According to Henrico Police, the fatal crash occurred on Monday, April 20, near the intersection of Coppermill Trace and W. Broad Street. Investigators reported that Lisanti was in the eastbound lanes when he was hit by a Henrico County vehicle operated by a county employee. The impact led to Lisanti being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, Tuesday, April 21.

Initial findings from authorities suggest that speed and alcohol were not contributing factors to the crash. The driver of the county vehicle remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
